I’m so chuffed to get this wedding up on the blog for Ashley + Ellie to see. Despite being sat listening to the pouring rain I can look back and smile at this fab day earlier this month.
These two lovebirds are childhood sweethearts that just make my heart melt. So happy, relaxed and loved up. Their day had a very chilled out, summer garden vibe to it. Very them. They were blessed with a blistering hot, summers day that suited the venue so well and what a venue it was! The Walled Garden Marquee on the Temple Newsham estate in Leeds. It felt like our very own secret garden for the day! The marquee is tucked away in the corner, surrounded by acres of landscaped gardens and bordered by miles of red brick walls. The marquee itself is a blank canvas that Ashley + Ellie, together with their friends and family, decorated in lace and homemade bunting the day before the wedding. The staff there are just fab too, working around the clock and couldn’t have done more for them on the day.
Ellie and Ashley were married at their local church, St. Mary’s in Whitkirk and made the short journey down the road to the gardens where they were greeted by glasses of fizz and canapés. Guests dined on a BBQ banquet and were treated to one heck of a cake for pudding accompanied by fresh summer fruits and cream.
Local musicians of The Bare Brass Band (google them…they’re ACE) set up the stage and had the dance floor bouncing!
