Swinton Park Estate never disappoints and Fran and Alex’s Swinton Estate Woodland Wedding Day was no exception! The day had a very boho/woodland relaxed vibe to it and the setting for their ceremony was right out of a Lord of the Rings film. Set amongst the pine trees, under a stretched out canvas for shade from the Summer heat these two held a hand-fasting celebration with a ceremony led by the Groom’s brother. They opted for jars of sand to be filled too as a keepsake that saw each guest pour in small amounts alongside a wish for the couple.
The backdrop of the jaw-dropping, ancient Druid’s Temple was the location of the drinks reception where guests were treated to a selection of mouth watering drinks to keep them refreshed and some yummy canapés from the estate chefs before being led through the forest back up to the Bivouac site for an Afternoon Tea in the Yorkshire Yurts Marquee served again by Swinton Park’s finest.
As soon as the light started to turn golden we ventured off through the forest and out the other side until the hills beyond and the reservoir came into view. So pretty! Fran’s Chloe Jane dress looked even more stunning in the evening light!
The Estate itself is an absolute joy to photograph in with so many different backdrops and elements to it. If you are lucky enough to stay here and sample the dining and spa areas even better! Do not miss out on a chance to camp in the tipis on the Estate either. It is out of this world!
My opening statement stands…a Swinton Estate Wedding never disappoints and if you’re lucky enough to hold your day in this beautiful place give me a shout! I’d love to be there for you.
